Dear Diary,

As if fate itself is taunting me, a surplus of forces out there continue to pose danger towards the Kingdom. Where do I even begin…
I suppose I should start with those.. shadow monsters. They’ve recently started appearing more and more, and become deadlier as time passes. I’ve already sent some Knights to explore the outskirts of Crescentia and try and see where they’re coming from. As of now… no leads. Damn it, nevertheless we must continue to protect the citizens and get to the bottom of this. I’ll protect this Kingdom no matter what.
Speaking of, while I was patrolling the Kingdom and slaying some of those monsters, I had a run in with the newest thief we had to deal with. I had planned to send the Knights after her but not only has she been no where to be found, but we’re already stretched thin with the monster situation. But as luck would have it, there she was, right in front of me… protecting civilians? And one of them was that renowned Detective?
They even vouched for her, saying how despite her being a thief, she’s been trying to do better and… “only steals from rich snobs who deserve it”.
Her words not mine.
It took every fiber of my being not to have her thrown in the dungeon, just looking at her makes my blood boil, but… it does seem she’s trying her best. Her Highne- I mean Marylyn advised me to be a bit more lenient anyway, key word a bit, so I let her go, under the condition she keeps up her redemption and that the Detective keeps an eye on her. I suppose if she’s watching over her, things should hopefully be alright.
I got better things to worry about anyway… like those damn pirates.
Time and time again they’ve evaded our capture, even as of writing this I can see their damn “ship” and it’s taking everything that I am to not go alone and bring those scoundrels to justice, but it would prove fruitless. They are a formidable crew, after all.
One day they will be brought down, whether it be by my hand or some other party.
Either way, I know in my heart that all of these trials will be conquered, the Stars know I’ll make sure of it.
